2013 NYC Toy Fair Internet Nerf Coverage (Photos & Video)

Photo of the Rebelle section, photo thanks to The Toy Spy

I’m not actually at the Toy Fair in NYC, so this is all information thats hit parts of the net. Photos of the Rebelle line, new blasters (Blazin’ Bow and Revonix360!) and a look at a small at a new, un-named Vortex line are all below.

Feb 13, 2013 9:49 PM EST: The Toy Spy’s video look at the Rebelle line. The video is fairly good quality, so I thought I’d post it here.

Feb 10, 2013 5:00 PM EST: Engadget has some nice photos of the Rebelle line on their site. Be sure to check em out!

Feb 10, 2013 3:00 PM EST: Foam From Above gets a demo explanation video on how to load the Revonix360.

Drum does not come out, you load it through a slot on the side and rotate the drum. It was prototype so asked to not fire it, but WILL shoot further than previous vortex.

Feb 10, 2013 1:42 PM EST: Rebelle Heartbreaker firing Demo, video from Foam From Above

Feb 10, 2013 1:37 PM EST: Foam From Above video firing off the Rebelle Wildshot. Revolver action baby!

Feb 10, 2013 8:30 AM EST: Hands on video of the Nerf Cyberhoop. Thanks to Engadget.

Feb 9, 2013 EDIT 11 PM PST: Video from Toy Spy, in which we get a closer look at the Blazin’ Bow and Revonix360. The Blazin’ Bow is fired, but the Revonix360 is not. Also, check out the new designs on the Vortex line. I didn’t see anything about new range claims or anything tooo new about the line, besides the recolors.

Keep reading to see more images, and stay tuned to the blog for more info!

Feb 9, 2013 EDIT: Video looking over the Rebelle line and it’s app. Also shows off some of the accessories and a little closer look at some of the items in the line. Video thanks to Toy Masters.

I thought this would be a good time to include my meme.

  1. We finally got some arrows for the BBB that we picked up at a thrift store and it is a lot of fun (I had already converted it to fire darts as well as arrows). Can’t wait to see the performance of the Blazin’ Bow (it looks to be the same arrows, but in reversed colors). I have to wonder though why they didn’t do the Heartbreaker with actual arrows instead of darts. Would be interesting to see conversions of the Heartbreaker to shoot arrows instead of darts (and I’d think it should be pretty simple to do).

  2. It looks like each of the new Vortex “Whiteout” blasters has its own disc color. Can someone verify this?

Also all the new blaster designs look really slick.

    1. It kinda does look like that, but I haven’t heard anymore info or news on that yet.

At the very least, those bright orange and white disks will be nice to buy. Their pretty much easier to see anywhere.

  3. well the new vortex gun has the best system for loading disks on the go but it is of course slower than a mag, I saw the hammer on the pistol before but i didn’t think you could get a good enough prime with that to hit the 75ft ranges?

      1. Good on ya. I wonder how much tinkering it would require to somehow use the designs of the snapfire and that single-action to make a true double-action Nerf pistol…
