Elite Rapidstrike CS-18 Jam Problem

I ran into this problem a couple of times while using my two Rapidstrikes, and even saw it happen a couple of times at the Nerf Summer event this year. Does anyone if it’s the dart quality, mag feeding, or the rubber skirt causing the problem?

I think it’s the Rubber Skirt causing the problem personally. This happened in other mags with the blaster. When this would happen to me, I would often take all the darts out, put them back in the same mag, and they would all be able to fire out just fine. It seems like the skirt causes occasional jams/misfeeds into the wheels.

  1. Mine does that too, it’s dart quality related. I have now used the RS in 3 indoor games and 1 outside and shot about 1000 darts through it! Due to the motorised pusher it really hates soft darts but with good or new I have had very few jams.

    1. Guys I have got a Rapidstrike CS-18 and that same problem happened to me. To fix it try to get super powerful C batterys. This is because this gun takes a lot of power quickly. Hope it works for you =D

  2. My rapidstrike did that on my first round going through it and I was using brand new darts so i am going to try to remove the rubber skirt.

      1. JUST to say the more powerful batteries there are the more powerful and LESS JAMING THERE IS. I recommend:Duracell Ultra C Batteries.

  3. My rapidstrike hasn’t had any jams with new darts, also good quality streamlines shoot significantly farther than elites.

  4. It’s definitely a combination of dart quality and the rubber skirt; a good-quality whistler WILL feed through the skirt on a stock Rayven, but a mediocre streamline-the ammo meant for it-barely feeds at all through that same Rayven, and this seems like it’s basically the same setup with a motorized pusher in a new shell. Removing the skirts on these may very slightly lower accuracy but it greatly prolongs the useful life of your darts, even between blasters since it squeezes the hell out of them.

    1. It also massively reduces the jam rate of the blaster, since the skirt is where ALL of the resistance to pushing the dart forward comes from, other than from the magazine.

  5. Hey I’m running into a problem with my elite rayven :( it appears that when I pull the trigger back and release it doesn’t move the whole way foward .(about a cm from where it should be.) due to this the darts won’t feed up the mag properly because the dart pusher blocks the darts from feeding. Due to this I have to pull the trigger 2 or 3 times before it will shoot right. Is there any way to fix this problem because I’d hate for this to happen in my nerf war.

    2. I had this problem on my Elite Rayven. I fixed it by cutting off part of the plastic guide that the metal trigger bar rests on within the blaster. The trigger bar transfers the trigger movement from the trigger to the dart pusher. You can see what I’m talking about in this thread under the section “Fixing the Trigger”.

You don’t have to go through all of the steps in the guide to fix your problem, just the one about the trigger bar (although I also removed the no-magazine trigger lock.)

The problem has been fixed: not only do the darts feed properly, but the trigger pull weight is reduced AND accuracy has been increased. This is great because the trigger is one of the main problems with the Rayven design that Nerf didn’t fix for the Elite version.

      Hope it helps.
