Thanks to the USA blog Buffdaddy Nerf and his research, we’re now aware of upcoming Elite and Rebelle blasters! And while we don’t have photos for many of them, we do have names and web listings, including possible price points. And what’s this about Nerf/Hasbro losing an upcoming Rebelle blaster? What sort of blaster is shown above? Check out the rest of the post for all that.
So if you remember my post about the N-Strike Elite XD line bringing new standards to Nerf’s Elite ranges, you would have probably been excited about it like most fans. It seems like 75 feet to 90 (angled, stock measurements of course) would be very noticeable.
However, fan Mod blog “Derp Mods” has done some range tests with an Elite XD Triad, and the results are disappointing, and also a bit confusing. Check the rest of the post for more info and a possible explanation.
In a bit if a surprising twist yesterday, Gamerboy1659 of the popular Facebook group Nerf Modders Welcome posted what looks like normal Mega Magnus boxart. The photo shows just a Magnus boxart, minus the blaster. What’s interesting is that instead of the usual Magnus up to 85 feet advertised ranges, this one advertises up to 95 feet!
There isn’t any other information from Isiah on where he got it from, or how much it costs. But based on previous Nerf trends it should cost the same, or about the same, as a normal Magnus blaster. While a 10 foot range increase isn’t super dramatic, it’s another step closer to the 100 foot ranges of the Mega Centurion. More range for the same price, in the same package is also another positive thing most of the tine. I’ll keep you updated on where he got it from, it’s cost, and other new information I can get related to it.
I wonder if the upcoming Mega Bigshock will feature Mega XD ranges as well? Again based on previous behavior from Nerf, it would be very odd for them to make/brand a new line and NOT include more blasters into it. So I personally expect some upcoming Mega blasters to be put into this line.
UPDATE: Gamerboy1659 has put up a video review of the Magnus XD blaster. I haven’t had the chance to watch it, so I’m not sure what he goes over in it.
If you the leaked images of the probable upcoming 2015 Nerf lines, then you’ll remember the Mega Bigshock and Elite Slingshock being listed on there as well. And now, thanks to the German site Bankcroft.de, we now have a new high quality images and product descriptions of those two upcoming blasters. No release dates or targeted release time frames yet, but stay tuned to Basic Nerf for more info on that as they come out.
Check below for the product descriptions and images of the Mega Bigshock, and Elite Slingshock.

Sept. 4, 2014 Update: Images were asked to be taken down by Nerf’s PR Company.
A few days ago, on September 1, Canberra & Southern NSW Dart Tag (Nerf Wars, HvZ) Facebook page posted the above photo. They also posted a vague message below, possibly not being able to elaborate more due to NDAs or contracts or something.
There’s a picture out there. And due to some agreements I have I can’t say much more than that.
It’s not clear where this image or when this image came from. It looks like a sort of slideshown, powerpoint, or presentation image on a tablet or screen of some sort.
There are 8 new blasters, and even a new line of blasters being hinted at in the images. Check below for a more clear image of this slideshow and a little discussion on the new blasters shown.
The “Elite XD” branding first appeared on the Elite Demolisher 2-In-1 Blaster box. The XD standing for “Extra Distance” and boasting ranges of up to 90 feet instead of the usual 75 feet ranges of the Elite line. And now according to my public relations contacts at Nerf, the XD distance and branding is here to stay! You can also see XD branded Retaliator, Strongarm, and Stockade (boasting up to 85 feet) below. These blasters, and the Rapidstrike above, also have new paintjobs.

I’m personally on the excited side for these. Normal flat ranges for Elite blasters were 40-50 feet with Elite Darts. Could we 50-60 feet flat with these newly revamped blasters? Stay tuned to my blog for more on that in the future!
