One of the new Zombie Strike products on display, the Strikeblade. Retail Price: $14.99 USD/Available: August 2013) Photo Credit to Naazrael.

San Diego Comic Con 2013 just happened this past week, and apparently Nerf had their new Zombie Strike line there, featuring products that hadn’t yet been revealed at the time. Before I get around to the images, I have to thank naazrael of Reddit for posting some of the photos, and also Jet with her blog Blaster By My Side.

Atamaii.com was also there on hand to get a video overview of the products on display. If your not into photos, I recommend checking the video.

The New Zombie Strike Jolt Target Set. Retail Price: $9.99 USD/Available: Spring 2014)

We get a photo of the actual physical product for the Zombie Strike Target Set. It’s a recolored/repaint Jolt, so Nerf fans with the Jolt already might want to pass to on it.

Do you see that skull design and the items in the box with the plastic see through? The skull design is a the bandanna that Nerf will be selling, and the item in the box is the Zombie Strike Starter Kit. The bandanna will be a Target exclusive, and will retail for $4.99 USD. The Zombie Strike Starter Kit comes with one Z-Bomb, one Zombie bandanna, and two Zombie Wristbands. The Zombie Strike Starter Kit retails for $14.99 USD.

These two photos thanks to Naazreal

The two photos above show off more new upcoming products. In the first one, something called “Z-Bombz” are pictured. Many people are speculating that their Nerf attempt to “replace” socks in Humans vs. Zombies. They come in about 5 different variants, what looks like a Grenade/bomb, Brick, a Sawblade a Football-like object, and a “Limited edition” grenade/bomb from the Zombie Strike Starter Kit.

A photo of the Holster on display that comes with the Sidestrike. Note the N-Strike Elite logos on both the holster and Sidestrike. Did these start off as Elite products, before making their way into the Zombie Strike line?

Those are pretty much all the new products for us to see at the moment. If you want, I’ve also embedded most of Naazreal’s and Jet’s photos below on blasters that have already been revealed, but I highly recommend checking out Jet’s recap post on her blog for more info.

Camarillo, California Humans vs. Zombies Summer 2013 Trailer

Video trailer I made for the game, footage from the Summer 2012 game and Winter 2012 games.

5501 Mission Oaks Blvd
Camarillo, CA, US
(Searching up Mission Verde Park, Camarillo CA in Google Maps will also direct you to the right place.)

July 13 & July21 (Sundays) 2012
(They are separate games, if you can’t make both, feel free to go to only one then.)

What to Bring:
Loose and comfortable clothing. It is in July/Summer after all!
Sunscreen is recommended.
A hat is also recommended.
Water, theres only a couple of water fountains.
Money for Lunch or your own lunch
Blasters (nothing to crazyily modded)
A good attitude

What NOT to bring:
Banned blasters from Nerf Wars
Common sense stuff that’s way too powerful.

Hey guys, if you happen to be in Southern California, feel free to come to the Camarillo, Mission Oaks Park day long game. If you know anything about Southern California Humans vs. Zombies games, you’ll know that there’s not a lot of colleges or schools that have them over here. That’s why I’m pushing hard for this game by inviting people I know as well as blogging about it.

Camarillo is about an hour drive from Los Angeles. The drive is well worth it though. Some unique things about this game is that the mod team changes every year. Each mod brings a different outlook on game missions and objectives, which makes for a truly unique experience each game. Game time is usually from 10 am to 4 pm with a lunch break around noon.

There is no starve out period, and stun timers are shorter to make up for the day long game.

The park has two decent sized fields on it, but the major terrain perk is that theres a two or three mile long winding creek that is great for missions and surprise attacks.

Only 1 safe zone.

An additional, smaller park two blocks away that is also sometimes used for missions.

Camarillo Humans vs. Zombies now has dates for Summer 2013! I’m not the head organizer this time like in the Winter 2012 games, but I will be moderating and helping organize though. These past games had 81 people people attend first day, and then 87 people the second, which makes the second day the biggest Camarillo HvZ event in it’s history! If your visiting and in the LA County area, why not come over to play some HvZ? If your thinking about going, we would love to have you!

Feel free to leave any questions here or on the facebook event page.

Campaign to Camarillo Summer 2013: Summer 2013 Camarillo, CA Game Dates Decided!

I’m the dude with the panda accessories!

If you’ve been following my blog since about 2011, you should know that Camarillo Humans vs. Zombies is the biggest, open, Nerf related even in Southern California. Every Summer and Winter, a group of volunteers organize and host day long Humans vs. Zombies games in Mission. I helped organize the Winter 2012 HvZ games, and I’m helping organize these Summer 2013 games. That’s partly why I haven’t been uploading as much videos or posting on here as much.

The Summer 2013 game dates have been decided!

The first game is on July 13th, A Saturday, at 9 AM.
The second game is on July 21, a Sunday, at 9 AM.

Search “Mission Verde Park, Camarillo, CA” on Google Maps to get the location and directions to the event.

Check out the Facebook event page here. You can discuss the event there, and please RSVP if you plan on going. Below, I’ve also linked music videos to two previous events that I’ve been to.

Nerf Singapore Powerplay Tournament has Elite Spectre, over $3,500 in Cash Prizes, open from ages 8-55

eat + spectre

Outback Nerf sent the above photo my way. Apparently a tournament called the “Powerplay Tournament” is giving out a new Elite Spectre, Elite Alpha Troopers, and Hail-Fire’s as prizes for this tournament, as well as cash prizes to the top winners. Interesting isn’t it? Registration opens May 31, and the event takes place from June 21-23. Check their official site for more info on the event.

You can also click here for the official rules, or check here for a FAQ of commonly asked questions.

You can’t quite see it in the screenshot that I took above, but the top prize bracket are for the 18-55 age group. I’m glad to see that their embracing the older audience of Nerf over there. Adding up all the cash money prizes, that’s $3,600 their handing out! Talk about high stakes.

As for the Elite Spectre, it looks pretty nifty. There’s a lot of White and Blue on it, which isn’t a bad thing. I just used to seeing more orange it. I was planning on trying out the Rapidstrike with an original Spectre barrel on it, but now that this is coming out, it’s attachments just begging to get added to all the Elite blasters currently.

Shops.ch add Elite Mega Centurion & Vortex Revonix360 listings, products descriptions. Revonix360 to fire 3 disks?

The French site Shops.ch once again has give the NIC a bit of a sneak peek more at the upcoming N-Strike Elite Mega Centurion and Vortex Revonix360 blasters. Here’s the original text, and translations for each item.

Centurion Description:

“Le Mega Centurion est un pistolet au look et à la puissance unique : il tire à plus de 30 mètres ! Equipé d un trépied, il est le plus précis de la gamme. Inclus chargeur 6 fléchettes”

“Mega Centurion is a gun to look and unique power: it draws more than 30 meters! Equipped with a tripod, it is the most accurate range. Charger included 6 darts”

Revonix360 Description:

“Un pistolet qui tire 3 disques à une distance de 15 mètres ! Il est équipé d un rail permettant d accueillir les accessoires Nerf.”

“A gun that shoots 3 discs at a distance of 15 meters! It is equipped with a rail for accessories to accommodate the nerve.”

Shops.ch Centurion listing
Shops.ch Revonix360 listing

Soundmedia.ch also put up a listing for the Mega Centurion. That’s where I got the image from in this post and simply re sized it to about twice it’s original size. I’ll save my thoughts on this new product image for another post.
As for the Revonux360, I’m a bit confused because the original product description I got makes no mention of it shooting 3 disks. Sure it was mentioned at the Toy Fair that the Revonix360 there was a proto-type, but I feel like the product would have been much more finalized before they sent out a product description of it. We’ll see what the future holds for these products.

Indoor Nerf War Session Recap Post (Photos & Videos) (Feb 17, 2013)

A group shot of the players, minus me, after the games.

So I know this posted is going up a bit late, but better later then never as some say. On this Sunday, I invited some friends over to play indoors at my church for some Nerf action. Plenty of close quarters fast paced action. I used the Elite Rayven and Stryfe through the day.

My first ever timelapse, Setting Up for a Day of Nerf

Here’s the gameplay videos that I got of the day and my input/mini commentary on each game.

TDM – 5 Outs & 3 Headshots (Elite Rayven 8.4v) (Game 1)

Our team gets great position early, and I manage to get 5 different people out, 3 of them on headshots. Our team didn’t get anyone out toooo early, and stayed pretty focused in staying alive and holding position.

TDM – Losing Position (Rayven 12.6v) (Game 1 Alternate Angle)

I strapped on my spare GoPro to an certain buddy of mine. She’s play in a couple of day long HvZ games, but never in a Nerf War. It’s interesting to see how composed she was, but she seemed to get a big case of tunnel vision and I manage to take advantage of an error of her’s to end the game.

Nerf War TDM – Staring Down the Enemy (Stryfe 8.4v) (Game 2)

I switch to the Stryfe for the next couple of games. We rush and grab a pivotal position, and then spit out a bunch of foam at the other team when they get out in the open. Indoor games can go downhill fast.

That awkward moment when….

New N-Strike Elite Rapidstrike CS-18 photo & some features revealed on Swiss website, My Thoughts on the Blaster

The posted up image from shops.ch, expanded to twice the original size by me.

Yesterday afternoon, a Swiss German site put up a listing for the N-Strike Elite Rapidstrike CS-18. A French version of the same site added the same listing, but with a product description.

or when translated through Google Translate.

Description translated: RAPIDSTRIKE the gun is 100% automatic gunfire burst: up to 3.6 darts per second. Its battery is reduced. It is 75% lighter than the Stampede. For a more personalized, lacrosse is adjustable. Contains 18 darts!

This blaster is most likely what was referred to as the rumored “new Stampede” I posted about on the blog about a week ago. As you read this post, please remember that this is all speculation based off a site listing, it’s photo, and it’s product description. As of March 15, there’s still has been no official confirm or deny of this blaster.

Just take a look at the above photo and take it all in. It’s a very awesome looking blaster to say the least. But it’s going to be a flywheel blaster, based off the comment that MyLastDart left on my blog post about the rumored Stampede. With automatic burst fire, the only other automatic flywheel blaster is the Nerf Vortex Nitron. Of course it might not be a flywheel blaster, but again I’m basing this post on what he said. I’ll talk more about the rate of fire later in the post, and compare it to other blasters later in this post. 3.6 darts per second is not a slow as you think it is.

There’s a clear clip on the blaster, and the darts look different with their black tips. Is this hinting towards new kinds of darts and a new clear clip? You can also see 5 different tactical rails on the blaster. MyLastDart has hinted toward their being an under barrel attachment of sorts that’s going to be released in the future. And it looks like there’s plenty of room on this blaster for that.

It also looks like there’s going to be 3 solid sling points, 4 if you count the stock area loop, on the blaster. This is very important for things like Humans vs. Zombies and indoor games.

There’s ALOT of initial thoughts and speculation going around in the NIC. I’ll list and talk about things like possible pricing, release dates, stock performance, ergonomics, special features, marketing, and more after the jump.

If you don’t feel like reading all the post, I’ve also made a video in which you can also listen to the things I discuss in this post.

Baidu Dart Tag Stinger Photo

66443_491101940932289_1260712617_n (1)

A new photo found on Baidu by Canberra & Southern NSW Dart Tag. This thing still looks like a funky blaster to me. And are those two dart holders at the top? I can’t really tell in the photo.

Also I sent an email to my PR contacts asking about this blaster and the Elite Alpha Trooper, but I probably won’t get a response until after MLK day.

Nerf Dart Tag to Come Back Big in 2013? (Rumor)

I literally don’t have any sources or sites to confirm this. My source was of the type of “he said she said” type of the deal. However the person I talked to managed to get this rumor through seemingly solid circumstances in the situations they described. Nerf Dart Tag is coming back in a, I would say big way. There will also be some new, but familiar aspects to it.

The source I also talked to said that we would be getting 4 new blasters for this line, which I also have solid descriptions of. However, please just remember that this is all just a rumor for now. If this comes true, this will be a sort of reference post, and perhaps I’ll be able to reveal more information on this IF it is indeed true or even teased.
For now, look out for the London Toy Fair Feb 22-24! Perhaps we’ll get some new Nerf info then.
