Nerf Zombie Strike Ricochet Unboxing & Range Test Videos

Hey readers, I’ve uploaded two new videos today! The first is an unboxing on the Zombie Strike Ricochet blaster. I also give a few firing tests and my initial impressions on the blaster. You can view that video above.

The second video that I’ve uploaded is a Range Test of the blaster. You can view it below.

A diagram showcasing the upcoming Zombie Strike Ripshop blaster

On the Nerf Malaysia Facebook group, a user posted this link to a Hasbro patent. In the patent, about 18 images also accompany it. We can already discover new information as to how the upcoming Zombie Strike Series Fusefire and Ripshot blasters operate just by glancing at the photos. Click here to once again see what the Fusefire & Ripshot will look like.

I haven’t had the time to try and dive through all the text, but just by looking at some of the images & diagrams that are in the patent, we can get a bit more of an understanding as to how the blasters work and what features they’ll have. Check out the rest of the post for most patent images of the Fusefire and Ripshot, as well as a bit of my analysis on them.

Basic Nerf Vortex Revonix360 Unboxing, Firing Test, Initial Thoughts & Stock Attachments Video

I got myself a Revonix360 as a promotional item today, amongst a few other things, so I decided to do an unboxing video for the it. I also did a firing test for the blaster, gave you my initial thoughts, and threw on some stock attachments for it to see which ones fix, or don’t fix. I’ll have photos of the blaster soon.

Shops.ch add Elite Mega Centurion & Vortex Revonix360 listings, products descriptions. Revonix360 to fire 3 disks?

The French site Shops.ch once again has give the NIC a bit of a sneak peek more at the upcoming N-Strike Elite Mega Centurion and Vortex Revonix360 blasters. Here’s the original text, and translations for each item.

Centurion Description:

“Le Mega Centurion est un pistolet au look et à la puissance unique : il tire à plus de 30 mètres ! Equipé d un trépied, il est le plus précis de la gamme. Inclus chargeur 6 fléchettes”

“Mega Centurion is a gun to look and unique power: it draws more than 30 meters! Equipped with a tripod, it is the most accurate range. Charger included 6 darts”

Revonix360 Description:

“Un pistolet qui tire 3 disques à une distance de 15 mètres ! Il est équipé d un rail permettant d accueillir les accessoires Nerf.”

“A gun that shoots 3 discs at a distance of 15 meters! It is equipped with a rail for accessories to accommodate the nerve.”

Soundmedia.ch also put up a listing for the Mega Centurion. That’s where I got the image from in this post and simply re sized it to about twice it’s original size. I’ll save my thoughts on this new product image for another post.
As for the Revonux360, I’m a bit confused because the original product description I got makes no mention of it shooting 3 disks. Sure it was mentioned at the Toy Fair that the Revonix360 there was a proto-type, but I feel like the product would have been much more finalized before they sent out a product description of it. We’ll see what the future holds for these products.

Nerf to release different Vortex XLR Trick Shot Discs

Photo thanks to Foam From Above

MyLastDart once again comes out with some news that Nerf is releasing different kinds of “Trick Shot” disks.

Feb 12/03/2013: Exclusive info: Inspired by Fan feedback and Mods – The new Vortex XLR Discs offer Trick Shots and allow fans to further customise the blaster to your style of play.
You could have the same 5 Vortex blasters but all completely behave differently due to the different Trick Shot discs (XLR Quickshot, XLR Sidewinder, XLR Ranger+++). Can’t say any more than that right now.

I have no clue if the above image of the NYC Toy Fair showed off these disks, I doubt it because we didn’t get any new information about them from the people who went. I’m not liking the idea too much as a player. I’m so used to aiming straight at a player to hit them, but if for example some of the new disks tend to go more left, then I wouldn’t be used to that at all and would have to go through the trouble of starting a new habit.
