N-Strike Elite Stryfe Range Test/Technical Observations Videos

First range test is up on Youtube! Unfortunately when I went out of the house today I forget to bring the normal AA batteries, but I brought the trustfires! I swear the motors are the same as the Hail-Fires, they sound pretty much the same. So they’ll get around the same ranges. Blaster is running at 12.6v.

In the above video is some technical stuff I noticed in it’s stock form. I talk about things such as 12.6v looking like the max voltage it can take, the jam door, and mag area that seems to do away with the Rayven magazine problems.

Hey guys, if you happen to be in Southern California, feel free to come to the Camarillo, Mission Oaks Park day long game. If you know anything about Southern California Humans vs. Zombies games, you’ll know that theres not a lot of colleges or schools that have them over here. Thats why I’m pushing hard for this game by inviting people I know as well as blogging about it.

Camarillo is about an hour and a half drive from Los Angeles. The drive is well worth it though. Some unique things about this game is that the mod team changes every year. Each mod brings a different outlook on game missions and objectives, which makes for a truly unique experience each game. Game time is usually from 10 am to 4 pm with a lunch break around noon.

There is no starve out period, and stun timers are shorter to make up for the day long game.

The park has two decent sized fields on it, but the major terrain perk is that theres a two or three mile long winding creek that is great for missions and surprise attacks.

Only 1 safe zone.

An additional, smaller park two blocks away that is also sometimes used for missions.

Camarillo Humans vs. Zombies is back for Winter 2012! I’m actually the head organizer this time around, and I’m bring some new ideas to the table, including things like zombie missions, zombie buffs and rewards, and prizes to be handed out at the end of the game! This past game had 70 people attend, the second biggest game in Camarillo history. If your visiting and in the LA County area, why not come over to play some HvZ? If your thinking about going, we would love to have you!

Feel free to leave any questions here or on the facebook event page.

10/20/12 – A Night of Nerf (Photos & Video)

From left to right, Basic Nerf, Coop of Click Click Bamf, and the head organizers of the Norwalk Nerf League.

October 20, 2012 was a Saturday Night. I planned this indoor Nerf War for my friends, one of which would be leaving back to his home country of Australia in early November. We usually play in a park, but before he left we decided to spice it up a bit.I invited Coop from Click Click Bamf to come by for a bit, but he had to leave early. A couple of weeks before the event the head organizers of the Norwalk Nerf League contacted me. I ended up invited them and we had a total of 14 people play here. I got some testing in with the yet-to-be-released Nerf Dart Tag Snapfire 8s, my modded Stampede, and more Hail-Fire gameplay!

The Basic Nerf Dart Tag Snapfire 8 Unboxing/Overview/Initial Thoughts Video

My dual imported Dart Tag Snapfire 8s came in the mail recently. Heres an unboxing video, as well as a fire test, overview of it’s features, and initial thoughts. I tried to make the video editing snappy, pun intended.

The Library Nerf War (Video)

Months back, my friends and I decided to have a small Nerf War in our school’s library. It was a Friday, so not too many people were in there. Pardon the shaky footage, it was recorded with my cell phone. I guess I can knock that off my Nerf bucket list before I die.

Basic Nerf Interview w/ Cal Poly Pamona Humans vs. Zombies Head Organizer (Video)

A two part interview that I did with Garrett Porter, head Humans vs. Zombies Organizer of Cal Poly Pamona. We walked about numerous things such as player culture, growing and cultivating the game, problems that arise, and much more! Quite an interesting talk I must say.
