The rumored Stampede ECS blaster is said to look like the SCAR-H.

So apparently theres now a rumor that Nerf is releasing an Elite version of the Stampede ECS THIS YEAR. According to a user on the HvZ Forums.

We don’t have a photo of it, the user doesn’t want to post one to avoid trouble. You may think he’s trolling us, but if you view his post history he’s gotten his hands on some blasters early and shared them first with the Nerf community before anyone else.

I asked him if the stock was detachable, like the Raider stock, or built in, like a Longshot stock. He said it’s built in like the Longshot stock. He’s also seeing a sub-trigger on the blaster, which in recent blasters hints to it being another flywheel blaster like the Stryfe or Elite Rayven. I hope it’s not another flywheel blasters, we just had those two this year.

He also mentions that it’s more compact then the normal Stampede, but not in a bull-pup design. According to my original information findings on the Stampede, the Stampede is about 30 inches. It was a little on the long side for my comfort in indoor games, so a smaller version of the Stampede would be great to say the least. Stay tuned to my blog for more news and updates on this latest rumor!

EDIT: He’s answered another question about it.

March 6, 2013 EDIT: He answered another question about the colors he saw on the blaster.

I have a feeling that he’s thinking of yellow, and not gold.

Stampede ECS-50 Manual found on Hasbro Website

Even though rumors of the 50 dart drum has been constantly shot down, it’s very interesting to see just how close Nerf was to producing it. We’ve seen concept art, the box art, and now a manual. Click here to see the manual.

Thanks to Urban Taggers for the heads up.

Craigslist Deals Take 3: A Stampede, Clips & Straps for $25

IMAG0263

Craigslist is a great spot for treasure finds once in awhile. My first deal off the site resulted in a decent buy. And my second trip resulted in a cheaper then store price GoPro Hero2 camera. The above photo is my third deal. I paid $25 for a Stampede ECS, 4 18 dart clips, darts for the clips, the Stampede shield & two slings for $25. Was it a good deal? Lets analyze and find out.

I ended up getting a Bandolier Kit and a Vulcan Strap from the guy

Well first, the guy who sold me the things was in my area. I needed to go out for errands anyways, so I didn’t have to drive far at all. That cuts gas cost out. A Stampede now a days goes for about the reduced price of $30, and this is used. He probably got it for the $50 sale price when it was new. To him it’s worth a little less then $50, but it’s really less then $30. Lets say $25 for the blaster, 3 clips, and shield since their used. The Bandolier Kit is $15 in stores with two clips and 24 darts, but it didn’t come with those things. So the cost on that is dropped to about $5 I would say. Next is the Vulcan strap, which is pretty much like a throw in. I wasn’t expecting to get it though, since he only mentioned one when we were making a deal.

The real deal seems to be the extra 18 dart clip, which again, I had no clue that he was throwing in. Most of the decently priced ones seem to be going for $15 to $20 on ebay. Thats including shipping as well. So all in all,

Stampede, Shield, 3 18 Dart Clips, and darts = $25
Bandolier = $5
Vulcan Strap = $3
Extra 18 Dart Clip = $15

Total = $48 worth of stuff for $25. Not bad I must say. I got almost double my moneys worth. Do you agree with my money value logic? Have general thoughts on this? Feel free to leave a comment!

Stampede ECS Blaster & Accessory Review (Part 3) (Basic Nerf Write Up Review)

It’s been about a year since I bought the Stampede. Only recently have I had the chance to battle test it myself. I’ve played a good amount of games against this blaster as well. I’ve reviewed it’s features here, and looked at pros and cons as well. However when using it for yourself, you discover new aspects. I’ll be reviewing the goods and the bads once again, and telling you how you can incorporate this blaster into your own usage. I’ll also be reviewing the accessories that come with this, and giving usage tips as well. As always, the rest of the review is down below.

Stampede Original Drum Mag? (Box Photo)

Looks kind of fake right? Those are some poor photoshop skills. People have a couple of theories and thoughts to this.

1. It’s real, but got canceled because of problems and what you see above is an early picture.
2. It’s fake.
3. They look like a man’s private parts.
4. It’s hosted on the Hasbro site, so it must be real.

If this is real and they release it, I do not want to have to buy another Stampede just for this. Also you can view SG Nerf’s theory on how this works.
