Nerf Zombie Strike Slingfire & 25 Dart Drum Package Deal From Kohls

Kohls has recently put up a web listing for a package deal featuring the Zombie Strike Slingfire and the N-Strike Elite Rampage’s 25 Dart Drum. The drum has had some positive feedback from Nerfers for it’s smaller size, and better feeding then the previous Raider’s 35 darm drum.

Although the combo package is welcome, the price is a bit too high for most people’s preference. $59.99, and it’s “on sale” for $47.99 at the moment. For reference, a Slingfire usually retails for $19.99, and a Rampage for $27.99. Those too things combined are already less then this Kohls package, and you get more from buying them separately.

Kohls members who have a membership cards may be able to get this for a lower price, and the price may lower in the future, so don’t entirely discount this package out.

This Nerf Foam Film by RackaRacka Has Over The Top Action, Special Effects, and Stunts! (Video)

It’s been awhile since I’ve had the time to look for good Foam Films online, but this newer one by RackaRacka is quite something! Sure it’s got the usual gun sound effects for the blasters, but they sound good here. The cut cutting, extreme action will leave you engaged, and it’s special effects are both good & bad. I don’t want to spoil too much, but that’s part of the charm and humor of the video. There’s a few NSFW words thrown around a few times, but if you can look past that then it’s quite the great foam film.

Leaked 2015 Nerf Line to Possibly Include New Modulus Line, New Elite Blasters Shown (UPDATE: Leaked Images Asked to Be Taken Down)

Sept. 4, 2014 Update: Images were asked to be taken down by Nerf’s PR Company.

A few days ago, on September 1, Canberra & Southern NSW Dart Tag (Nerf Wars, HvZ) Facebook page posted the above photo. They also posted a vague message below, possibly not being able to elaborate more due to NDAs or contracts or something.

There’s a picture out there. And due to some agreements I have I can’t say much more than that.

It’s not clear where this image or when this image came from. It looks like a sort of slideshown, powerpoint, or presentation image on a tablet or screen of some sort.

There are 8 new blasters, and even a new line of blasters being hinted at in the images. Check below for a more clear image of this slideshow and a little discussion on the new blasters shown.

N-Strike Elite XD Line Brings New Standard of Range to Nerf

Rapidstrike Images found on Baidu. You can see the XD distances on the bottom right of the box.

The “Elite XD” branding first appeared on the Elite Demolisher 2-In-1 Blaster box. The XD standing for “Extra Distance” and boasting ranges of up to 90 feet instead of the usual 75 feet ranges of the Elite line. And now according to my public relations contacts at Nerf, the XD distance and branding is here to stay! You can also see XD branded Retaliator, Strongarm, and Stockade (boasting up to 85 feet) below. These blasters, and the Rapidstrike above, also have new paintjobs.

Instagram photos thanks to Foam From Above.

I’m personally on the excited side for these. Normal flat ranges for Elite blasters were 40-50 feet with Elite Darts. Could we 50-60 feet flat with these newly revamped blasters? Stay tuned to my blog for more on that in the future!

Basic Nerf Sept. 15, 2013 Church War Gameplay Videos

Back in September 2013, I had posted on Instagram with the above photo and teased that I would be hosting a Nerf War at that new church location. And today, I’ve finally uploaded and complied the gameplay videos for you all to watch on the blog. Check the rest of the post for a description on the rules and some of the things going on in the videos. I use the Rapidstrike CS-18 as my primary for all these games.

Nerf Youtuber Coop772 To No Longer Take Commissions

coop772comish

Yesterday, Nerf Youtber Coop772 took to Facebook to announce his closing of commissions.

Commissions are closed for good. I’ve said this many times in the past, but I think it’s for srs(serious) this time. I’ve come to the conclusion that working on other people’s modifications that aren’t innovative or truly unique is pulling from my innovation within the hobby. My recent goal of trying to output cooler, faster, more unique pieces is more difficult when taking commissions for blasters with “normal” modifications that I’ve done dozens of times. I will still be selling blasters on my webstore, but they will be whatever modifications and paint I feel like adding at that time, rather than things specified by a customer.

I realize this won’t make sense to a lot of people, but I feel it’s the best way to keep this hobby fun for myself and to only output awesome mods that I’m truly proud of, rather than the normal internals with a normal paint job that I could do blindfolded. I’m trying to challenge myself and do new stuff, hopefully something useful or enjoyable will come out of it for you guys, the viewers.

While commissions can be a good way to make money, it can be draining on your mental and physical as well. At the end of this statement, Coopy says he’s “trying to challenge myself and do new stuff”. So it looks like he’s aiming for the long run enjoyment in Nerf.

A bit of humbling news on Hasbro’s Brian Goldner appeared yesterday. However, it may not be as bad as it seems.

The Upcoming N-Strike Elite Rhino-Fire, the Most Expensive Blaster To Be Released By Nerf. Press Release Info & Firing Video Here

51nru4ZF5eL
The box art for the upcoming Rhino-Fire

Early last week, Amazon Spain put up a listing for the N-Strike Elite Rhino. In the listing, we got details as to what the blaster was and what it will come with. And now, I have a press release info to share with you all!

NERF N-STRIKE ELITE RHINO-FIRE Blaster
(Ages 8 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $99.99/Available: Fall 14)
Dominate the competition with the biggest, baddest NERF blaster yet! The N-STRIKE ELITE RHINO-FIRE blaster is the first fully automatic NERF blaster featuring rapid-fire, double barrel blasting, an amazing 50 dart capacity and two N-STRIKE ELITE dart drums, turning ordinary battles into extraordinary ones. The epic RHINO-FIRE blaster sends darts soaring impressive ELITE distances of up to 90 feet, and features both a front handle for mobility and tripod to ensure awesome accuracy. Includes 50 N-STRIKE ELITE darts. Six “D” batteries required, not included. Available exclusively at Walmart.

And most recently, a firing test of the blaster at an unknown event has surfaced. I downloaded it and reuploaded it to Youtube in case it was taken off Instagram.

As we can see from the video above, it’s a flywheel blaster. The barrels seem to fire one after the other. The user’s thumb in the video seems to be on a switch or module of some sort. Maybe we can control which barrel fires the darts?

While the Rhino-Fire is certainly a spiritual successor to the Vulcan EBF-25, the $99.99 (or $100) price point will make this a very expensive blaster to buy. The need for 6 D batteries increases the cost even more. This will be the most expensive blaster Nerf has released for retail when it hits stores. Previously, it was the Stampede ECS released for $49.99.

I’ll be sure and report if other countries will be selling this as well. Do you plan on getting one yourself? Is this price justified?

Introducing NarrowBase LLC, a New Nerf 3D Fan Printing Company

The header image used on the NarrowBase.com site.

The need of holding 18 or even 12 dart mag holders has been a bit challenge to many Nerfers out there, due to their size and length. Equipment from other sports such as Airsoft and Paintball, while often doing the job, sometimes makings a person uncomfortable or leaves a person lacking in performance. 3D printing, with rising usage in the world, has yet to meet our needs carrying our Nerf mags/clips. Casual users or people not using the MOLLE sytstem were a bit behind in terms of what gear they could use for their items. Until now.
